Hispanic Unemployment Rate Remains Flat at 10.3 percent

The Bureau of Labor and Statistics reported this morning an unemployment rate of 8.1 percent in April. A record number of 88.4 million Americans are not in the labor force. With less workers participating in the growth of our economy, Americans will continue to see a sluggish recovery. Under the Obama Administration, Hispanics continue to suffer from a disproportionately high unemployment rate of 10.3 percent. Given that over 342,000 workers left the labor force the real unemployment figure for Hispanics is significantly higher. The economic policies of this Administration are failing hard working American families.
