Teresa Rodríguez

Teresa Rodríguez is co-anchor of Univision’s primetime award-winning weekly newsmagazine, “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now). As one of the country’s leading Hispanic female journalists and the first Hispanic female to host a national newscast, the 20-year veteran delivers award-winning investigative and consumer news coverage on a number of important issues facing U.S. Hispanics, and conducts high-profile interviews, including former heads of state, newsmakers, politicians and celebrities. In addition to her role on “Aquí y Ahora,” she also hosts a special weekly segment on Univision’s national newscast “Noticiero Univision” (Univision Nightly News) titled “Primer Plano” (Foreground), which offers an in-depth analysis on national and international issues. Rodríguez has been honored with numerous awards for excellence in journalism, including 11 Emmy awards for her outstanding work on television specials, investigative reports and features.

Rodríguez graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Marketing, from Barry University in Miami. She currently resides in Coral Gables, Florida, with her two children.
